Well, it’s not actually a trailer. It’s the intro from Wade Myers for the Venture Academy DVD Series, which is nearly complete. But it certainly serves the purpose of providing an overview of what’s included in this fantastic new resource for Christian entrepreneurship…
We mentioned in an earlier item that each new Homestead Blessings DVD (Canning, Gardening, and Herbs) includes a bonus track of The West Ladies performing a musical selection. The three songs are:
1. Waiting for the Sun to Set
2. Singing Hallelujah
3. You Get a Line, I’ll Get a Pole
Here’s an excerpt from Waiting for the Sun to Set:
The George Washington Carver edit is shaping up very nicely. Here’s a first look at the valuable contribution made by renowned Carver historian John Perry:
From today’s mail bag (email, that is):
This past spring my husband and I came across your booth at a homeschooling conference in Evansville, IN. This was our first conference as we will begin homeschooling our youngest son next month. One of the greatest blessings that came from our visit was the videos produced by your company. We purchased 10 and have enjoyed and been encouraged by each one. Our family has watched the films multiple times with the assurance that we are being exposed to wholesome entertainment. God is surely using your films to give clarity in a cloudy world. Our oldest daughter will be married in November, and the youngest will possibly leave for college next year. Homestead Blessings has given them an even greater desire to grow into the Proverbs 31 and Titus 2 women God designed them to be. Our sons are more interested in skills that will enable them to be more self sufficient. Not to mention, they have entirely new vision for their treehouse!
Thank you for your obedience and service to the Lord. We look forward to viewing your new releases.
In Christ’s love,
—Scott and Kristina

The Terry Schiavo Story won a Crown Award for Best Documentary Friday night at the International Christian Visual Media award ceremony in Denver. The film previously won Best Documentary earlier this year at the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. Our hope and prayer is that these awards will encourage families to include this film in their libraries. Though the subject matter is difficult, the issues presented hold significant ramifications in this generation and beyond. Watch a trailer for this Joni Eareckson Tada-hosted film here.
