Gentry Press

Friday, February 22, 2008

The release of An American Adventure - The Living Legacy of Jimmy Gentry has resulted in a substantial amount of local press - television, newspaper, and magazine.  The way in which this man has lived his life has had a big impact!

Here’s a link to an article that appeared in Southern Exposure magazine, timed to coordinate with the release of the film.  The story talks about our ongoing transition toward working more fully with the films we’re producing at Franklin Springs Family Media.

A Year Later

Monday, January 14, 2008

It’s been nearly a year now since we fought our way through a Northeast snowstorm to film the Charlie Zahm: An Evening of Classic Melodies DVD.

For us, facing the precarious winter weather was a small price to pay in capturing the warmth of Charlie’s music.  We invite you to view the below clip from a very memorable evening.  Enjoy!

Dancing in the Streets

Friday, December 14, 2007

Entertainment industry visitors often comment that historic Franklin, Tennessee reminds them of a Hollywood backlot.

That was certainly the case recently, when the streets of Franklin were transformed on a London-esque day for the annual Dickens Christmas festival.

‘Twas a day of wonder for certain Franklin Springs children…

And for their friends, who became participants in the festivities…

Along with carolers, violinists, and artisans, English Country Dancing filled the streets…

And not even Jacob Marley himself could chase away the good cheer experienced by all.

Still Standing: The West Virginia Premiere

Tuesday, December 11, 2007

Among the premieres we’ve done for Still Standing:  The Stonewall Jackson Story, the screening at Jackson’s Mill (Jackson’s boyhood home) was especially memorable.  Our gracious hosts welcomed us in several ways…

Including a very special tour of the grounds where Jackson walked during the pivotal years of his childhood…

The day was a picture of Christian unity, as the three remaining living great grandchildren of Union General Joseph Lightburn joined with the filmmakers, author, and Jackson’s Mill personnel to celebrate the lasting legacy of Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson.
