New Films on the Horizon

Friday, September 8, 2006

We are very happy to be working on four new DVDs that will be released in the months ahead. We have several other family-edifying films slated for production in 2007. We count it a great privilege to be about the business of providing families with God-honoring films. The following DVDs are currently in production:

The Eden String Quartet
A musical celebration of God-honoring family life and the joy of music in the home, this DVD tells the enriching story of a family with a commitment for using their talents and abilities for the glory of the Lord.

Stonewall Jackson: His Fight Before the War (working title)
A documentary based on the newly released book by Richard Williams, this project explores the life of an often talked about leader, and his not often talked about pre-war commitment and friendship with Southern slaves — a relationship that has resulted in generational impact for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Inherit the Land
Inherit the Land examines the rewards of the growing movement toward agrarian lifestyles and the benefits that families can gain from farming endeavors large and small.

Make Me a Movie (working title)
A how-to guide for emerging filmmakers with a desire to learn the art and craft of filmmaking from experienced professional filmmakers, this practical DVD will be an inspiring tool for those eager to explore God-honoring filmmaking.

A New DVD Shipping, A New DVD Shooting

Friday, June 9, 2006

The Family Meal Table with Nancy Campbell

Our newest DVD, The Family Meal Table with Nancy Campbell, started shipping last week. Our prayer is that this project will be used to further encourage the building of God-honoring families!

And then we’re very pleased to have begun shooting one of our forthcoming projects, a DVD that will explore and celebrate the growing movement of people engaging at various levels in agrarian lifestyles. We’ll be meeting families from across the country who have moved toward self-sufficiency through the growing of food—some in small garden settings, others in fully-functioning farms. And along the way, we’ll meet families who are working side-by-side and enjoying the fruit of God-honoring family-centeredness.

We’re also moving forward on several other new projects, the details of which we’ll be announcing soon!

And as always, we’re so appreciative of the encouraging notes we receive from families who are enjoying their Franklin Springs Family Media DVDs.

Response Pours In

Thursday, January 26, 2006

We are so blessed to be receiving encouraging notes about A Journey Home!

Thanks for your wonderful work! What an encouragement this was to our family. I think we’ve already watched it 9 or 10 times! I just “discovered” the director’s commentary this week, and found it to be wonderful as well! (Mission, British Columbia)

I love this film. I feel it is a DVD that was burned of my deepest desire for my own family. (Doyle, California)

It’s absolutely wonderful!! My children love it to pieces. Very inspiring and refreshing. (Paris, Texas)

Thank you so much for capturing the wonder and beauty of a family who rejects what the culture has to say and accepts God’s leading in their lives. It was perhaps the most edifying film I’ve ever watched. (Carlsbad, California)

May the Lord continue to use this film to glorify Him and His redemptive work in the lives of families. We appreciate your feedback! If you’ve seen A Journey Home or our other DVDs, please let us know your response.
