Camera operator Mark wanted to steady this long lens shot on the campus of Princeton University today (for a new episode of the Joni Eareckson Tada television show). But as he and the tripod were separated from one another (and the producer was declaring an end to the b-roll shooting - which could have lasted the entirety of this picturesque Autumn day), Mark did the perfectly reasonable thing and employed a New Jersey parking meter as a substitute tripod. Back at the hotel, it was determined that the shot looked magnificent. Below, the producer’s son looked on - and picked up a few more tricks of the trade.
